Wembley Stadium confirms rule change for Harry Styles gig during scorching heatwave

 Temperatures are set to soar in London this week – and not just because Harry Styles is in town.

The Met Office has issued a rare red warning, preparing parts of southern England and southeast Wales for a 38°C scorcher.

Fans will be relieved to hear that Harry’s Wembley Stadium shows are still going ahead, as he continues his Together, Together residency with seven more concerts at the 90,000-capacity venue.

However, it’s essential to keep cool even when kissing all the time and discoing occasionally, with Wembley officials sharing additional health and safety guidance ahead of Harry’s midweek gigs.

Due to the heatwave, the stadium has relaxed some rules and introduced a few welcome new ones, permitting some refillable water bottles beyond the turnstiles and even offering free sun cream to prevent burning and skin damage – yes, you still need it when you’re bedazzled in sequins!

What are Wembley’s water bottle rules for Harry Styles’ heatwave shows?

Wembley Stadium confirmed its guidance to Metro following fan concerns about potentially dehydrating when temperatures climb into the high 30s.

Organisers explained that empty soft-plastic bottles, with tops off, are fine to bring into the stadium (max size 500ml). These can then be filled repeatedly at one of the free refillable water stations located inside the stadium.

All levels of the stadium also have free water points for concertgoers. This includes the pitch.

Additionally, free water points are now on the external concourse area, too, located between turnstiles G&F, J&H, M&N, and B&C.

Currently, metal water bottles are not allowed into the stadium for safety reasons (can’t have anyone chucking those about!) Although we understand that the policy can be relaxed in extreme circumstances.

‘Our traditional policies around water bottles have been relaxed for the past few events as temperatures have risen, and we would encourage guests to bring plastic bottles as per above and refill them inside the stadium,’ they told us.

Finally, free sun cream can be accessed from all information points if required.

And just in case you get so caught up in the excitement of partying with the Aperture singer, extra messaging has been displayed around Wembley Stadium to remind guests to hydrate regularly and take breaks in the shade.

It’s also worth noting that overnight camping is not permitted at the venue, with Wembley requesting that fans instead arrive to queue for general admission standing in daylight on the day of the show.

All of this guidance is incredibly important, of course, although it seems Harry himself may need a nudge on taking shade breaks.

Over the weekend, the famously fit pop star was spotted jogging to his third Wembley show, with fans assuming that he set off from his mansion overlooking Hampstead Heath in northwest London, which is around 10k away.

He even did it in a jumper, would you believe, yet didn’t appear to be breaking so much as a bead of sweat as footage showed him breezily running along the pavement in his purple shorts and matching cap.
